From the organizers:
Bring the Family – Free to Attend!
The Inaugural Marks Mules & Blues Fest will be centered on the 1968 historical event of the “Mule Train” which kicked-off the Poor People’s Campaign to Washington, DC. It will be linked to the established Delta Blues and the Mississippi Freedom Trails.
We want this festival to showcase the north delta region’s historical treasures, artistic talents – music, art, literature – and our southern style culinary skills.
The year 2018 will mark the 50th Anniversary of the Poor People’s Campaign, so we are building a foundation to host bigger and better events for the years to come.
